Family Promise of Birmingham, founded in 1998 as the Birmingham Hospitality Network , is a network of diverse faith and civic organizations working together to provide safe, home-like lodging where homeless families can stay together while working to regain their independence.
On any given day, more than half the guests served by Family Promise-Bham are children.
Our goal is to help in maintaining a stable life for homeless families:
- To bring shelter, meals and support services to families without homes.
- To make a difference in homelessness in our own community.
- To inform, energize and motivate congregations about homeless families.
- To provide opportunities for host families to volunteer their time.
