D.U.O. was created to fill a couple of gaps that the families and coaches of the local Wayne-Westland Special Olympics teams have noticed over the years. D.U.O. is an independent organization, functioning separately from Special Olympics. D.U.O. will provide social events and activities as well as educational and training activities to members and to the community like those that were once provided by the Bailey Center.
